
GAINESVILLE, FL -Meridian Community College's track and field teams won 2 National Championships this past weekend at the NJCAA Indoor Championships in Gainesville, FL.
The men's team finished 18th behind Kylan Bernard, winning the 60m hurdles national championship in just 7.79 seconds. Keon Buck placed 8th in the 200m dash at 21.37, and the men's 4x400 relay finished 10th with a time of 3:15.68.
Meanwhile, the women's team secured 11th place, with Privilege Chikara claiming victory in the 800m event with a time of 2:08:08. Chikara also clinched the runner-up spot in the 1-mile race, clocking in at 4:52:56. Taliyah Lindsay placed 6th in the 200m dash with a time of 24.38.
