
Fort Pierce, FL – Meridian Community College (MCC) proudly announces its inaugural swim team's outstanding performance at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Swim Championships held in Fort Pierce, Florida. Competing against the nation's best, MCC's swim team finished 11th.
MCC Swimmer Megan Heggie placed 11th in the 1000-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and the mile, demonstrating her skills in distance swimming. Heggie's showed versatility as she earned a 15th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.
MCC's 11th-place finish is a significant milestone for MCC's inaugural swim team, highlighting the team's hard work, dedication, and the successful development of the college's swimming program.
"We are incredibly proud of Megan for her performance at the NJCAA National Swim Championships," said Sander Atkinson, MCC's Athletic Director.
