
ELLISVILLE, Miss. — The Meridian Community College Eagles are set to compete in the NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Tournament, hosted by top-seeded Jones College in Ellisville from April 24-26.
Nationally ranked No. 20, the Eagles enter the tournament as the No. 6 seed and will open quarterfinal play against No. 3 seed Itawamba Community College at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24.
The single-elimination tournament will begin Thursday morning, with the top four seeds each facing first-round opponents. Quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinal round on Friday, April 25, with the championship match set for Saturday, April 26.
MCC heads into postseason play with a 5-5 conference record and a battle-tested roster looking to make a deep run. All matches will begin with doubles play followed by singles.

The NJCAA Region 23 Women's Tennis Tournament was held earlier this month, with the Lady Eagles finishing 3rd and advancing to the National Tournament, held in Tyler, Texas.
