MCC Swimmers Earn NJCAA All-American Honors

MERIDIAN, Miss. – Meridian Community College is proud to announce that two standout swimmers from the Lady Eagles Swimming & Diving Team have earned prestigious NJCAA All-American honors, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) following the 2025 NJCAA National Championship meet.

Sophomore Megan Heggie earned All-American recognition in the 200 Breaststroke, while freshman Kyla Goldman secured her spot among the nation's elite in the 100 Backstroke. The honors are awarded to the top eight individual finishers in each event and the top four relay teams at the national meet, with CSCAA membership also a requirement for eligibility.

"This recognition reflects the incredible dedication and competitive spirit these student-athletes bring to our program," said Wade Heggie, MCC Head Coach. "We're thrilled to see their hard work pay off on the national stage."

The MCC Women's team finished 11th overall, and the Men's team placed 14th, competing against top talent from across the country. The Eagles shattered an impressive 10 school records during the championship meet, marking one of the strongest performances in program history.

The CSCAA All-America team highlights the best of NJCAA Swimming & Diving each season, and MCC's continued presence among these ranks showcases the college's growing reputation in collegiate athletics.
