
ELLISVILLE, Miss. — The Meridian Community College Lady Eagles are set to compete in the NJCAA Region 23 Women's Tennis Tournament hosted by No. 1 seed Jones College in Ellisville from April 10-12.
Ranked No. 18 nationally, the Lady Eagles enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed in a competitive field of eight teams. They'll open tournament play against the No. 6 seed Copiah-Lincoln Wolves in the quarterfinal round, scheduled to begin around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10.
The tournament kicks off that morning at 8:30 a.m. with Jones College taking on the No. 8 seed East Central. The four quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinal round on Thursday, April 11, with the championship match set for Saturday, April 12.
The Lady Eagles bring momentum into the tournament with a 6-3 conference record and a roster ready to make waves. Each match will begin with doubles play, followed by singles competition.
