Matthew Milner is entering his second year as Sports Information Director at Meridian Community College, bringing over a decade of experience in media production and athletics communication to the Eagles athletics program. Since stepping into the role in early 2025, he has played a key role in enhancing coverage, storytelling, and visibility for MCC Athletics across all platforms.

A seasoned professional in digital media, Milner has been part of the MCC family since 2018, serving as Lead Media Specialist and Videographer for the college. In that role, he was instrumental in elevating MCC’s media presence through creative content and video production, highlighting campus life and athletics.

Prior to joining MCC, Milner served as Assistant Director of Digital Media at East Mississippi Community College from 2012 to 2018. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in producing live streams and video content for all athletic programs. His work at EMCC included producing Inside The PR1DE and contributing to the popular Netflix documentary series Last Chance U.

Milner’s expertise in sports media began at the University of Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2012. While at Ole Miss, he worked on the Emmy-winning series The Season, further solidifying his passion for storytelling and athletics. He later earned a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of West Alabama, graduating in 2024.

Originally from Richburg, New York, Milner now resides in Meridian, Mississippi, with his wife, Jammie, and their dog, Duke. As Sports Information Director, he is dedicated to enhancing the visibility of MCC’s athletic programs through innovative media strategies and a deep commitment to telling the stories of Eagle student-athletes and coaches.
